How to crop PDF margins
Set one margin, in points, and the same amount is hidden on every side of every page. 72 points is about one inch. 36 points is about half an inch. Viewers respect the crop box and show the smaller page.
- Add a PDF.
- Enter a margin that is smaller than half the shortest side.
- Download the cropped file.
The hidden edge is still stored in the file. This is a viewing crop, not a pixel erase. To export what you see as images, use PDF to JPG.
FAQ
Are files uploaded?
No. Cropping runs locally. Can I crop one area by dragging?
No. Every page gets the same margin. That fits scans with a uniform border. Why did nothing look cropped?
A margin of 0 leaves the page unchanged. Raise the number and open the download, not the original. Will this shrink the file?
Usually not. The crop box hides content; it does not throw the bytes away.Ad
