How to add page numbers to a PDF

Numbers are drawn along the bottom of every page. Pick where the count starts if the PDF is a later section of a longer document, such as starting at 12.

Open the PDF.
Set the first number and choose bottom center or bottom right.
Download the numbered file.

If text already sits in that corner, crop is the wrong fix. Leave more empty margin in the source, or accept a small overlap.

Are files uploaded?

No. Numbers are added in your browser.

Can I skip the first page?

Not in one step. Split the cover off, number the rest with the start value you want, then merge the cover back.

Can I use roman numerals?

No. Numbers are plain digits.

Does this change page size?

No. It only draws text near the bottom edge.
